A journey dedicated to music

Soprano Pervin Chakar was born in Derik district of Mardin. She started her music education in Diyarbakır Anatolian High Fine Arts School in 1995. She graduated from Gazi University Music Education Singing Department in 2003. She took private singing lessons from Oylun Erdayı. She went to Italy to study at the Accademia D'arte Lirica and later at the Perugia Accademia Musicale Umbria. Meanwhile, she took singing lessons from William Matteuzzi, Carmen Gonzalez, Sergio Bertocchi. In 2007, she graduated from Perugia F. Morlacchi Conservatory with a maximum Bachelor’s degree and completed her master's degree in the same conservatory with the highest degree of the conservatory.

She participated in the masterclasses of world-famous opera singers among as Luciana Serra, Montserrat Caballé, Mietta Sighele, Veriano Lucchetti, Tiziana Fabbricini, Salvatore Fisichella, Edda Moser and Lella Cuberli. Pervin Chakar started her stage career at Eskişehir International Music Festival and Ankara State Opera and Ballet in 2004 and continued in Italy and European countries. She took part in concerts and operas in Milan Teatro Rosetum, Teatro Politeama Greco di Lecce, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Venice Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Theater An Der Wien, Milan Teatro Alla Scala and many other stages. She won many awards, mostly first prizes, in international competitions, especially in the field of best female voice. She recorded singles by working on the reinterpretation of Kurdish music in the form of Western Music.

She performed the role of Gretel in Hansel und Gretel at Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, Teatro Ariosto in Reggio Emilia, Teatro Comunale in Bologna and Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Triest.

She performed the role of Anna Kennedy in Maria Stuarda on the stage of Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

She appeared in Teatro Alla Scala in Milan as Eine Funfzehnjahrige in Alban Berg's Lulu under the direction of Daniele Gatti.

2010

She won the 3rd place in the 6th Leyla Gencer Opera Competition, the 2nd place in the Magda Olivero Opera Competition, and the 2nd place in the Marie Kraja Opera Competition.

2011

She took the stage with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra organized by the Pavarotti Foundation in the Kremlin Palace. She toured the same concert with the San Petersburg Symphony Orchestra.

2012

She won the 2nd place in the 15th International Città di Alcamo Opera Competition and the Angelica Tuccari Special Award in the 10th International Ottavio Ziino Opera Competition.

She won the 1st place at the 28th International Maria Caniglia Opera Competition and the New York Lotte Lehmann Foundation's best female voice special award. She won 1st prize in the 2nd "Primo Palcoscenico" Rigoletto (Gilda) and 3rd Giovanni Pacini Rigoletto (Gilda) Role competitions in Italy.

She sang the role of Tytania in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Macerata Opera Festival. She appeared as Despina in Così Fan Tutte at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.

She was awarded at at the 4th Donizetti Classical Music Awards as Best Female Voice.

2014

She sang as Rosina in The Barber of Seville and as Erste Dame in the opera The Magic Flute at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Italy.

2015

She gave concerts with the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra under the conductor Rauf Abdullaev.

2016

She gave concerts of Kurdish works in Augsburg, Ludwigshafen, Nürnberg.

2018

Performed with the Cologne Junge Philharmonic Orchestra

She sang for memory of the Gomidas at CRR in Istanbul, Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin and Kervansaray in Diyarbakır
